A switch up may be needed?

The Toronto Maple Leafs are struggling already this year. They started the season of 4-0, and since those 4 games have went 1-5-3. Their scoring has almost dried up, but they are still playing decently defense wise, as well as getting good goal tending from Gigure and Gustavsson.
Phil Kessel and Clark MacArthur lead the way with 14 goals (7 each) of the leafs 31 goals scored. Next is Nikolai Kulemin with 4 goals. There is not doubt in my mind that Tyler Bozak is a very skilled NHL’er, but if Ron Wilson wants to put non center man in his spot, then what is the problem with calling up Kadri, and sending the under preforming Mitchell to the minors? Put Kadri on the 1st line, and move Bozak to the wing. Put Versteeg on the second line and move Grbovski to the 3rd line. If this is something that Burke doesnt really want to do, then I’m sure my next idea wont go over well with him either.
My second idea, would be replace Bozak on the 1st line with Thomas Kaberle. Give him 5 or 10 games to adjust to being a forward, and let his precision passes start equaling points. Last year, with Schenn not playing well, you wouldn’t be able to do this, but this year Schenn being one of their best players on the ice gamer in and game out, this move could be the short term fix the Leafs could be looking for. The Leafs are deep on the blue line, and Kaberle could be a top 6 forward. Its not completely strange for a defenceman to become a forward or vice-versa. Maybe test it out on the power play 1st. Having Kaberle on the boards instead of at the point where he never shoots anyways. Many times the Leafs are trying to get the puck out front and the pass is off just a bit, Kaberle doesn’t miss with his passes, whether they are 5 feet, or 120 feet. This could be the shake up that The Leafs need, atleast until Burke makes some moves.
Week 2 – ApacheFriends
Posted by jefffrancis89 in Apache on September 16, 2010
You will notice that I started at week 2 instead of week 1. Week one of school was an adventure to say the least. My typical self, left everything to the last minute, applying for school, student loans, and everything else in the process of becoming a student. None the less, it’s Wednesday and I’m 4 days ahead of my goal of posting by Sunday (beginning of the next week). So, here is what I learned, on my own actually.
My PHP professor suggested the eager beavers in class to try and install apachefriends on our own before next lecture (week 3).
These are the steps I followed.
1) Google searched for apachefriends and found the following link, Apachefriends, and found XAMPP. It seems to be in beta form right now. Made for Linux, Windows and Mac.
2) I downloaded Bata2 (.EXE) version that includes Apache 2.2.16, MySQL 5.1.49, PHP 5.3.3, phpMyAdmin 3.3.5. I could have gotten the source code and done it manually, but I’m really lazy. Direct link to .EXE is here.
3) Once the file downloaded to my computer, I installed it with the easy to follow installer instructions. Note: If you have any pending windows updates that need a restart, the installer will not complete and it will warn you to finish the updates, restart your PC and restart the XAMPP installer.
4) Select the drive you wish to install it to as shown in IMG-2-1
5) Select whether you wish to have desktop and start menu short cuts added displayed in IMG-2-2. I selected Yes
6) Select whether you wish for the installer to locate the XAMPP paths correctly as in IMG-2-3. I selected Yes
7) Next it the installer prompts you, asking whether or not you want it to create a portable XAMPP without drive letters in IMG-2-4 below. I selected no.
8) After that, it told me it was relocating some stuff, shown in IMG-2-5. Installation looks complete. Press enter when prompted.
9) Now it gives you a menu, and lest you pick what you want to do next in IMG-2-6. I selected option 1 to run the control panel.
This concludes my instructions for installation. I may pick this up after, when we learn about setting Apache up, maybe in week 4. Feel free to leave comments letting me know if I left anything out, or if there are any area of improvements.

I am an Internet Applications/Web Development student, just starting year 1 of a 2 year college diploma. I’m going to use this space to document some things I learn along the way. I am extremely new to the industry. Posts pertaining to what I am learning will start out pretty basic, but will gradually become more advanced. You may notice other items being posted, mainly sports articles. Hopefully you will find something of interest, or at least enjoy reading what I have to say!
Have Fun
